Governance Volunteers (Board Members)
Governance Volunteers serve KindLight Ministries in leadership and advisory roles, helping provide wisdom, accountability, oversight, and direction as the ministry grows. This includes opportunities to serve on our Board of Directors as well as other leadership or advisory roles that may develop over time.
Serving on the KindLight Board

Meetings
Board members meet quarterly—four times each year—to review the ministry’s progress, provide guidance, discuss important decisions, and help plan for what’s ahead.
Meetings may be attended in person or virtually, making it possible to serve regardless of location. Occasionally, an additional meeting may be needed when an important matter requires board action.

Term of Service
Board members are asked to serve a two-year term, providing continuity while allowing the Board to grow and change as the ministry develops.
At the end of a term, members may be invited to continue serving for an additional term when it is a good fit for both the individual and KindLight Ministries.
We understand that circumstances can change, and we simply ask board members to communicate openly if they are no longer able to fulfill their commitment.

Participation & Expectations
Board members are expected to participate consistently in quarterly meetings, come prepared to contribute, and take an active role in the life and direction of KindLight Ministries.
Between meetings, members may occasionally be asked to review information, provide input, vote on matters requiring board action, or assist with an area where their experience can be helpful.
Above all, we ask each board member to support the mission and values of KindLight Ministries, approach decisions thoughtfully and prayerfully, and serve with integrity, compassion, and respect for those we serve.

Who We're Looking For
We’re looking for people who believe in the mission of KindLight Ministries and have a genuine desire to serve others with compassion.
Board members should bring integrity, sound judgment, a willingness to listen, and a collaborative spirit. We value people who will thoughtfully and prayerfully contribute their perspective while working together toward what is best for the ministry and those we serve.
Experience in areas such as ministry, nonprofit leadership, business, finance, communications, fundraising, community service, or other professional fields can be valuable—but no single professional background is required.
Most importantly, we’re looking for people with a servant’s heart who want to help KindLight Ministries grow responsibly and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Interested In Serving?
If you feel called to use your experience, perspective, and heart for service to help guide KindLight Ministries, we would be grateful for the opportunity to get to know you.
Completing an application is simply the beginning of a conversation. It does not commit you—or KindLight Ministries—to board service. It gives us an opportunity to learn more about one another and prayerfully determine whether serving together may be a good fit.
